    Intel has never been Apples compition, MS and Dell have been. Also, this has nothing to do with back in the day. These are benchmarks on apples retail website. Ether Spple has lied to customers for the last 4 years or Jobs is lieing to people now. Personaly I consider both to be true.

    The frequency of the chip is like the RPM in a car. You could be going 5k rpm in 1st gear and only go 20 mph, or 2k rpm in 5th and be going 60.

    This is the first turion build I have done. I have recommended Centrino's for 2 years now. We just had someone who wanted a 64 bit laptop for CAD work so we set him up with the beast of a laptop. It certanly could have been this model whitebox.

    Centrino all the way. I built a Pentium-M notebook for my little sister for college. 5+ hours of battury life + low temp. The Turion I bult for a moble CAD workstation = burn your nads off if you put it on your lap.
