Testing new waters with a home lab setup

If you're just getting your feet wet, I would consider getting an older full blown server that will come with more ram and capabilities. Once you know what you need, you can upgrade/add to your lab. The other area I would consider is the network itself. Used enterprise routers are cheap...

Samsung Trio 65w Phone Charger $10.92 Shipped at eBay

So the last one I got was 10.88 + tax which was just under $12 and was a pretty good deal. After seeing these $9 ones, I got the one ending in 9205 since it was under $10 shipped, and if it's the exact same thing, this will be another solid charger to have that's not some generic fire hazard...

Samsung Trio 65w Phone Charger $10.92 Shipped at eBay

Seems like there was a huge over production of these or something like that as there's other sellers with the exact same thing. Here's what looks like the same seller as the OP except under a different name with an even cheaper price at $9 shipped: https://www.ebay.com/itm/168446609205...

Samsung Trio 65w Phone Charger $10.92 Shipped at eBay

I got it on the last deal and this looks identical. Mine looks and works like it's a genuine item, but you never know as today's fakes are good enough that they fool almost everyone except the manufacturer. Still, it's become my goto as it's one plug and I can use cables to 3 different things...

Is this termination no bueno? 2.5G network drops

For diagnosing something like this iperf is your friend. My parents house from 1995 has over 50 cat runs, and the idiot terminating the upstairs pretty much stripped off 3" and untwisted that much so all those iperfed at 100Mbs versus the 700-900Mbs that the downstairs and attic get.:mad...

New Old Stock - Cyrix Cx486DRx2-16/32GP 386DX-to-486 CPU PGA132 Vintage IBM Kit

So back in the day there was one company that used the IBM branded 486slc2 by Cyrix to make it even work with a 286. :D This was the final upgrade to our IBM PS/2 30-286 before we stopped really using it. But it finally was able to run windows 3.1 in enhanced mode.

The only thing I've seen 5Gb good for that might help gaming is the sub 1ms ping times.
