    Yeah, the tilt part would come off but there would still be the metal part that sticks out from inside the monitor. Would like to get that whole assembly off so nothing stick out. I did not see a way to do that. The two screws above it seem unrelated. Thanks for sharing your experience.

    I bought one to VESA mount and managed to get the plastic stand separated. The metal tilt mechanism is still attached to the monitor and I'd like to remove that, also. Were you able to remove that portion? If so... how?
