Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I voted yes, sign it. There is so much more to having a working relationship with the card manufacturers than just getting review samples early, vs paying for them. Communication is a two way street, and you can provide them feedback and have some (surely limited, but still valuable) input into...
I just did, I don't have many games right now but I have GTA IV so I ran that. Looks sweet! I almost have to move my head around to see everything. Makes my vid card work hard though... Though I must say the monitor is better to me for things like photo viewing/editing, the way it shows photos...
I'm powering my 30" with a mini displayport port on my GFX card, but my monitor has a displayport input as well so I don't need the active mini-displayport to DVI adapter.
Don't be confused, the cable you mention will work. Though I would suggest you get a 6ft one, or however short you can...
Wow, I thought I wasn't a noob but I didn't even realize my Vid Card's DVI slots were not the same. But like I said, on one of them the monitor didn't even show anything. I'll go make sure tonight and verify.
Doing some research I'm pretty sure I was using the Dual DVI port (the one further...
Hi all, I wanted to share my monitor issue in case someone has experienced it as well or to maybe help others in the future. I just received my new HP ZR30W, plugged it into my 6970 and can't get the resolution to go up to 2560 x 1600. I installed the monitor driver, both from the CD and online...
Since my original post I have made a few simple mods. Like I said earlier, I put a fan beside the GFX card to keep air moving all along it. Also replaced the exhaust fan with a PWM one that can be cranked by the MOBO if it gets too hot inside. It's all just kinda temporary and twist-tied...
Yeah, I've been thinking about that and I think I'll put a fan on the outside of the case across the pci slots to draw out the air that builds up around the video cards. Then I'll make sure to connect it to the mobo so that it can crank up the fan if it starts getting hot inside.
Or plan D...
Hi all, just got my system the other day so thought I would post a quick review of this case and how I've used it in a not-quite-HTPC application.
First of all here's the manufacturer's link to the case:

So I was looking to get a case for a computer...
I got the same email from Newegg, props to them for being proactive about it, making a demo video to show how to work around the issue. Though I know because I follow [H] I'm sure it'll help all those that didn't even have a clue!
I have not yet tried to re-activate the volume, though if you say you had good luck with it that is certainly encouraging. I will have to deal with this sooner rather than later after all... The lack of responses here was making me start to look into RAID recovery companies! And I would need to...
Hi, I got a bit of a problem I hope you guys can help me with. I am running a RAID 5 server with 7 x 400 GB drives under windows XP's software RAID (using the hack/workaround to enable RAID 5). It has been running fine for years, and now all of a sudden a power outage happened and caused my...
Hey all, looking for some help from some [H]'ers from Miami. I'm coming home to Canada for Christmas through Miami, and want to buy the Nokia N810 WiMAX edition for my brother as a gift (he wants exactly this model, I won't get into why). The N810 is available in Canada but the WiMAX model is...
Wow, I am amazed how cyclical everything is in this world. My current system was top of the line at it's time: Intel HT CPU and ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 mb. Then after that Nvidia and AMD took the crown, while Intel and ATI were catching up. Now it switches back to Intel / ATI being the leaders...
