I went from 4870x2 to an SLI 460 setup. A great upgrade for the money imo. I put an accelero cooler on it about a year ago and it was kind of a pain in the ass compared to any other card I've disassembled. It ran way hot and was loud as balls. Eventually I couldn't take the jet engine noise...
Although I'm not a fan of a lot of the crap that is spewed out these days, I think your problem is that video games aren't your thing. If there isn't a single game out there that entertains you, then you likely won't be entertained by any other game in the foreseeable future.

Adora won't stop bitching about her Apple II. She can kick start the pos by morphing into She-Ra, but she can't exactly just waltz around shifting from form to form as she pleases. The XPower can help her with this problem.
All the Wow releases and SC2 were very cool. I also liked the GTA4 metal box.
I haven't bought one I didn't like. I've always made sure it had something I was interested in before purchase.
