I don't know a lot about making computers, but the pictures on http://atomchip.com/ make me very sceptical. That and the insane specifications. It would probably be bigger news if something that powerful came out, and would have been widely publicised.
You probably paid too much for the RAM. I've heard that it is a lot cheaper to buy dells with the minimum RAM and upgrade it yourself, as dell charges hideous prices for extra RAM (unless it was free or the least amount you could get).

Acer do good, reliable laptops, and you can get some damn cheap. If you have a nice desktop rig, I am sure that integrated graphics would be ok since you can play on your desktop.
