    has anyone tried to use a PC133 RAM in a laptop that is specced only 66Mhz?

    Some of the early desktop PC-66 modules used a different voltage, if I'm remembering correctly. Not all 168pin DIMMs are SDRAM. I know that I have some 168pin DIMMs laying around somewhere that have EDO chips on them.

    NF7 vs PS2 Mouse

    If you want to be able to connect/disconnect a mouse after Windows is already loaded, use a USB type mouse. For proper operation, a PS2 type mouse should be plugged in before starting up the computer. This applies to any motherboard.

    Buy "dual-channel" memory if you don't want to have to worry about stability while running in dual-channel mode. You can achieve stability in dual-channel mode with un-matched sticks of ram (I have as well as many others), but there is no guarantee.

    If you don't mind... a couple of corrections... The range would be from 100mhz- 250mhz. Some people are hitting 250mhz+, but NOBODY is hitting 400mhz. I don't know of any motherboard that has a BIOS setting of more thatn 300mhz (someone correct me if there is a mobo that goes higher)...

    Stupid question, how do you determine windows up time?

    If you have a network adapter installed on your Windows XP computer... Go to - Control Panel, Network Connections, Local Area Connection On the "General" tab, it states your adapter's Duration. Which should be the same as your computer's uptime.
