Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I would do just that with the switch, but unfortunately that entire rack is full and there's not enough space to put another one under it. These are the reasons why i'm having to "patch" it long enough where i can spend a little time there :)
Thanks for the program update too, by the way...
Well, there's a program I have called server-watch I believe that will check a website at whatever time interval you want, and after 3 tries or whatnot, if it can't connect it'll run a batch script and email someone notifying you of the problem.
I recently discovered 2 pretty nice, albeit...
First off, thanks for actually answering my question instead of just flaming me :)
I would instantly think of it as a nic problem as well at first. But like I said earlier, this isn't the first time I've had this problem. I think the switch could be screwing up. And yes I know, its a...
Yes, I agree with your post. However, while I'm trying to figure out what is causing this problem. Do you not agree that it would be helpful to minimize downtime?
Do any of you guys know how to restart a network card? (disable/enable) from the command line in windows (particularly windows server 2003). I want to create a batch script to restart this if the server can't connect to something on the internet after a certain time period.
I'm having a...
I know that you specifically said distro that comes with it, however, I decided I would go ahead and suggest this anyway just in case you might find it easier.
You can always go with XAMPP. It has a windows and a linux version and it makes it very easy to get apache, mysql, and php up and...
Yeah, I believe its a good place for you to start. Its 4 tests to get the MCSA and 7 tests to get the MCSE.
You need to take 70-290, 70-291, 70-270 + one election. I chose to do the CompTIA Security+. They will accept that now as the elective.
I still have one more test to go to get my...
I use awstats as well for individual sites and I love it. However, I don't see an easy way to take the statistics from all the log files on all of the sites we host and merge them together into one chart I guess you would say.
I'd like to be able to see, ok... this month all of these sites...
Up at work we have an older 2000 advanced server machine running IIS 5 that is hosting around maybe 60 websites. I was wondering what suggestions you guys may have about monitoring the bandwidth on these sites? I would prefer some method that would give me a measurement of the bandwidth usage of...
Ok, so at my job we just updated one of our servers. This server runs 2 websites in IIS, in addition to other things. The server currently has 3 nics in it. 2 onboard and one PCI-X. (I thought the problem I might be having would possibly be a flaky onboard nic, but that apparently is not the...
Yes, monowall does traffic shaping. it has a decent little wizard that will help you set it up somewhat easily.
You could also try pfsense. Its like monowall but with some extra features. It has the traffic shaping features as well but the wizard is a little easier to use.
That machine...
