Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Picked up one as well. 25 Watts and 65% remaining. Shows decent numbers consistent with everyone else. Primary use is a game drive for me. Will probably pick up a few more for my server.
I've been using this model since it came out and its been rock solid for the last couple of years. It has a very good range for wifi. Highly recommend the ASUSWRT firmware from Merln as it opens up more features than the Asus firmware itself. I guess the 1 caveat with this particular router is...
Your range and speeds will most likely increase if comparing to your current router. The real beauty of Ubiquiti hardware is the management capabilities, stability and performance IMO.
Make sure you are not running v5.33 as that is the bad one. I run CCleaner on all my machines with auto-update turned off so evidently "Security via Antiquity" helps in some instances...
I've yet to run into any issues with the AP-AC-PRO in a small office setting. Granted, i'm running their firewall -> switch -> AP. No downtime, no reboots. Very stable.
the one provided by Microsoft works pretty good. I've yet to run into problems with the USB creation tool that Msft provides for Win10 and i've done probably 30 or so installs using them. Have yet to convert any MBR to GPT as I've always started fresh. Just didnt want to deal with the headache.
GotNoRice All valid points man. It really depends on your usage. esata works for me as it fits your 1st thought. dedicated and had to transfer a bunch of large files initially.
