    WTB: 2490WUXi

Hey, I have one. Bought it in 2009, and used it sparingly...mostly because my photography hobby never became more than just a hobby, and I like using my laptop in my bed. I'm in Houston TX, so not sure how much shipping would be. Let me know, maybe we can work something out.

    Macbook Fan Speed Control

I like smc for cooling my mbp for more comfortable lap use, don't really care when it's 'docked' on my desk...just let it take care of the thermal regulation on it's own

    1920x1200 / IPS / Standard Gamut?

The 2490 is 16:10, not 16:9. If you look around you can get one for around 50-60% of msrp. I picked up an open box 2490 with full warranty for $520+shipping the other day.

    Refurbished NEC 2490WUXi

It's my first one. It was listed as an open box but not refurbished; website says it carries full warranty: "Open Box products are in original manufacturer condition, are fully functional, include accessories, and carry manufacturer warranty." I figure with the good reviews and their nice...

    Post your Zune HD setups!

I'll play devils advocate: Higher resolution screen on the touch(I dont buy the OLED hype either, look at the photo above, washed out in normal use lighting...that's why all the demos of it pre-release were shot in dark conditions, and the screen degrades by it's very nature from day one)...

Apple Snow Leopard – What’s Coming?

Yes I read past the headline, that's why I linked it. "I would characterize it as: windows Vista, a lot better," he said, "Windows Vista is good, Windows 7 is Windows Vista with cleanup in user interface, improvements in performance." Gee, isn't that what people said SL is, yet bash Apple...

Apple Snow Leopard – What’s Coming?

No, it's because 7 is Vista. Heck, Ballmer said it himself - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2332756,00.asp Did you even read what I wrote? Unlike the 7RC, Vista RC2 was only available to the public as a limited release (something like 200K non technet users could download it)
