    I think MSVC++ from Microsoft will do it. Last I checked, you could download just the compiler without the Visual Studio IDE for free. That might only be for .NET though. Microsoft is offering some sort of trade-in deal where you can go from 32 bit XP to 64 bit XP... Check this thread. Can't...

    need help with BlueJ quick!!

    One of your classes has a main method (static void main(String[] args) ...) Once you've compiled everything (hit the compile button), right-click on the class that has a main method, and choose main. This should start executing your program. Good luck at the competition!

    TerminalIO, and KeyboardReader, are provided by some CS professor, somewhere. There are also a few introductory Java textbooks. That said, i really doubt TerminalIO is being integrated into Java 1.5/"5" KeyboardReader itself simply wraps around BufferedReader, providing a few methods...

    Sidetrack is a beautiful thing :) Make sure you configure all the options, the defaults aren't bad but you don't get the full experience until it's tweaked. Also, if you use iTunes, synergy has a lot of very nice options ( hot keys to change tracks, album art & track info, etc.)

    IMAP server

    Right now I'm using Merak for windows...does it all; POP3, SMTP, IMAP, Calendaring, and IM. Don't remember the specifics, but it was kinda expensive :(
