I have not counted them all but can only give a low ball estimate of 50, most likely over 100. It is all on the edges so it's hard to notice in normal content. I would guess for your situation I would definitely try to do the same. Especially since you may only be less than 1 year out from...
Well I finally got the geeksquad tech to come look at my cx oled to confirm the dead pixels. He tried doing the auto repair but the dead pixels persisted. The options were to get the TV replaced with the current year equivalent, in this case the 48" C4. Or to get credits equal to the amount the...
Pretty sure its burn in, hasn't gone away after a while. Not very noticeable during use except when the screen goes white. And unfortunately, the previous owner said he watched a bunch of news.
Anyone have any suggestions on removing burn in from a plasma TV? I tried doing a few of those white noise video or those other 24 hours video methods but the burn in persists. Other than that, the picture on my VT60 still looks great!
In no particular order
1. BFI usage without taking a brightness loss.
2. 480Hz @4k (DP 2.1 implementation with new GPUs) ((Maybe a 5090 will get you there))
3. Higher refresh rates at lower resolutions. We already got this but would be nice to see them keep pushing in this area. Dual mode 1080p...
Could it be the AG coating that is having that effect?
I had the the MSI ordered but cancelled due to no BFI feature. All Asus monitors have BFI which is a bonus. 480hz @1440p is great for motion clarity but now im hesitant for the sharpness. Also the price difference is big, the MSI is on sale...
Didn't know the dead pixels were a thing until I stumbled into this thread. I did a check on mine and yeah, got a bunch of dead pixels all over the right side. Kinda hard to tell, and I might have not noticed if it wasnt for the thread. Luckily, I did buy the 5 year warranty from BB so i called...
Has anyone tried using their monitor with the nintendo switch?
When I first got the system I remember playing Zelda on the Sony FW900 at 1080p. It's been a few months since I tried playing the switch using this monitor but I tried it again and it locks to 480p. My first thoughts was maybe the...
Hey, who here was able to get WinDas running on Windows 10? What did you to to get it to work?
I am looking to build my new PC soon and wanted to get a calibration done while I was at it.
Too bad Anologix canned their DAC. Does this leave us with the HDFury4 as the best DAC to get now?
Picked up a HP p1230 Diamondtron 22' inch monitor the other day and it looks really nice and very comparable to the Sony. Would I be able to calibrate that using the WinDas guide?
Yeah I'm holding up on building my new PC till these adapters arrive. I really like this monitor and would rather not get another one till there is something better.
Also how often do you guys suggest we do a WinDas calibration. It's been about a year for me but the monitor still looks good.
Yuck what a terrible price.
Not only in phenomenal condition but pretty much better be almost no use and recently calibrated.
Even then the price would be too high.
Anyways anybody got any info on the Sony GDM-500PS?
There was one that popped up recently that I was thinking of picking up...
I really do hope they make a new HDfury or something cuz I want to build a new pc so I can get back into modern gaming using this monitor.
And yes to answer the above question this thing handles low res like a champ. Dreamcast games and Wii/Wii U games look amazing running at 480p using this...
That's a really nice job with the calibration, bramabul5353. I thought I did ok but it's not even close to what you have it at. I had this feeling when I was doing calibration that my G2 values could have easily been lower. I still got about another 6 months to go before I redo the calibration...
