Very interesting conversation here. I know that having a more power than is need is pointless, but does it hurt the PSU? If I get a 850W PSU (ex Corair ax850), but my system as you say idle around 250w most of the time, will this cause any damage to the PSU? Or is it more about it not being as...- pboy207

Your are correct. It seems the discount excludes the HX series. I could have sworn the email said 10% off all corsair PSU's. I just re-read the email and it says select Corsair PSU's, but it seems the only ones excluded are the HX series. Updated OP.- pboy207
