Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I Love ATI but Fry's flat out sucks compared to NewEgg. Do a search for an Intel 1000Mbps NIC. You find one enterprise level NIC. Now go to NewEgg. Fry's site is so slow I usually don't stay long enough to find anything. The only time I use Fry's is when I need to demo a product and then return...
I've been running it on my underclocked EVO since it came out. It works great but I do need to go thru the tutorials to get a better grasp of advanced techniques.
I also went here http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html and it shows the 620 being slightly faster than the 810. How can that be. I'd think the L3 cache would help the 810 out.
I was overclocking my 620 and flipped the ACC from auto to manual. Then in AMD occ tool and CPUZ I see number for a L3 cache. So does that mean I really had a deneb or is there a bug in the way software reads the cpu. Aslo all the settings for ACC were -5 I believe. I am not sure what or if...
I now its early but you should be able to get an idea of the minimal hardware to get good results. I know a lot of people will run out and get it when it is released and turn around and run out and get a video card as soon as they try to play it because there frames are crap. A little heads up...
Come on HARDOCP. Benchmark the latest game out there. I imagine BF:Bad Company 2 isn't even playable at 1680x1050 with this card. My 5750 struggles to hit medium settings. People with a low budget and most likely a low busget system wouldn't even be able to play BF with this card and would just...
Is it a significant jump. I guess to be worth it I need to get some money out of my 3870.
Another thing I want to know is if at load is the 5850 quieter than a 3870.
