    If you have severe blackouts/drop to snow that last many seconds you might want to invest in a Monoprice 2 way HDMI switch($15). It does something to the way the Westinghouse LCD handles HDCP.     Best deal going is the 42" Panasonic plasma for $700 shipped at B&H Photo(highly rated on ressellerratings). Though thats only 720p, a 32" 1080p is $600 minimum though. I believe its a hdcp handshake issue and the heat is just a coincidence, though I suppose the heat could make things worse.
