Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That's a great idea, never thought of it just unplugged :) Maybe I will look into that. Been eye balling the 2960X, 3560/3750G and the 4948's... But new fans would be the cheapest... But the 2960X have some really cool features like hibernation and suppose to be really quiet. Since I am running...
Yeah 12T not 12G typo on my end... I got it at a good price plus it has the EMI IOS loaded but its way to loud to sit in the same room with it on. Looking into a Cisco 4948-10GE or 3560E but haven't found any good deals yet.
Its been almost 5 years since I posted my lab. Started off with some Cisco 2900's and a few whitebox servers at the time with 2-4GB ram.
Starting from the top
Cisco 3825 - Core Router
Cisco 1811 - Used for NVGRE Provider Network
Cisco Express 500 - Used for Home Network (TV's, Wireless etc...)...
Hey,
Just looking for some clarification... The Cisco uplink ports on these switches could they be used to connect to a server and not uplink to another switch/router?

Thats a nice setup. Once i get some more room I will be upgrading to a Skeletek rack but for now my little 12U will do. For monitoring I have heard good things about Zenoss Core. I used it back 2 years ago before I had cisco routers and just used it for server monitoring but heard it works great...
Hey moose517. A 1760 for Voice is a great idea. becuase you can put voice modules in it like i have (FXO & FXS) for using your home analog telecom line. just make sure when you buy your 1760 it has a PVDM Module so you can support the voice cards. and at least 48B Flash to hold your 12.4 IOS and...
Yes your right advanced etherchannel setups os BCMSN but you still need to know how to configure a basic etherchannel and know how it works for the CCNA
Its for etherchannel and spanning vlans. i have my voice and my data on diffrent vlans on diffrent ethchannels for testing QOS and all that. as well as I am using one of my 2620's as a ROAS config for cross vlan communication. its kinda cool stuff
The price you spend on a HDMI cable doesn't make it better. A HDMI cable has to meet a specific HDMI Specification. so a $5 cable vs $100 cable still BOTH have to meet the same requirements and standards.
But like everyone else is saying MonoPrice. i buy all my cables from them...
These are a few pics of my Cisco Home Lab. Im currently working on my CCNA Voice
The image below is my 2621XM Router. Doing memory upgrade to 256D/48F
