    Video game actor strike

Okay first of all, these people are contract workers, they are called upon to do voice work ONLY when there's work do be done... which probably isn't that often. How many games come out per year that require voice acting? How many of these actors get booked for EVERY title? Not many to be sure...

    WoW [H]ard Guild

Ha that's funny, well it seems that OUR (European) Stormscale isn't quite the same as YOUR (U.S.) Stormscale. Man ya think they could at least think of a few new server names... Ah well... someone should start a [H]ardKore European front! have fun -c

    WoW [H]ard Guild

Heya! I'd like to start a new char. and join this guild. Does Stormscale (the server) have any problems? Population reads as HIGH on my list... and I'm in Europe... I'll give it a try, and hopefully someone will find me and invite me! -c

    A64 OC Data

I've got the DFI UT board. Everything works great on it, and I'm already happy with the overclocking results. It's funny, because I don't really have a NEED to push this any farther, just a WANT. :) but I guess that desribes most people here...

    A64 OC Data

hey notoriousformula, what kinda voltage you feeding that ram? and what about system temps? I've got a very similar setup and wondering how far to push it. So far - A64 3000 @ 2600mhz w/ 1.65v OCZ 3200 Platin2 @ 260mhz w/3.0v @ 2.5-4-3-10 running 44deg idle and 55deg max load Pretty...

    lighting sugestion

Do yourself a favor and pick up a cheap 4 or 6 light halogen set from Ikea or some other mega-modern furniture multi-plex. With even a small fixture, you can aim the lights as you please. Install the thing in the ceiling, and focus a light on your desk. There will be no reflecting glare from...

Sager 8790? what do you think?

I have a Sager and let me tell you, best descision I ever made. Like Phelptwan says, not much for battery life, but the computing power will leave nothing desired. Excellent tech support as well. -Chris

laptop CD-rom retention clip came apart

Heya! Okay not quite sure how to say this, but you know in the center of a laptop cd-rom drive there is a small circular plastic retention clip that holds the cd in the drive with springs. Well, recently I sunk to the level of buying bargain local media cdrws (silver circle) and the freakin...

How do you organize your MP3 collection.

The new Winamp is the greatest It makes intelligent guesses on all your MP3's with messed up names and substitutes for file names when it is missing. Has a nifty search function (just like itunes) and you can view lotsa neat info (last played, how often, etc) But the absolute best is...

Best of the rest for an A64

Heya Builing an A64 3200 system on an DFI UT motherboard. Looking for memory. If I could, I'd simply pick up OCZ Platinum 2, Crucial Ballistix, or Geil Ultra-X. Problem is, I CAN'T GET this stuff out here! You guys are so lucky: I think the US gets first pick of many new technologies. Even if...

So what are you guys trying to say? Don't like the case?

    Opinions on AeroCool

Aerocool Jet thingy Yes I know most of you are anti-plastic-armor style cases, but this has some interesting modding possibilities. All I'm concerned about is the cooling. Seems like the monster 120mm in and outake will take care of that. Anybody ever put their hands on one of these? -Chris

    unknown larger monitor models...

I've been working off of an LCD for the last years or so, and there's a few things that I really miss about CRT's. *I like the ability to run things at different resolutions without that LCD pixel edge effect. *I feel that watching movies/dvds just look better on CRT's, perhaps also thanks...

    unknown larger monitor models...

Heya! Okay so 99% sure about the next 19" CRT mon, and that would be a Mitsubishi 930 that I've heard so many nice things about. BUT, still can't help but wondering about these other larger unknowns that I see for not too much more $.. Most of these here are around a hundred bucks more than...
