    Acer A510 Anyone?

Yeah, technically the Asus has the better screen. They are the same resolution, but it's a night/day difference between the two. The TF201 has a much warmer color tint, it gets brighter (in IPS+ Daylight mode), and everything does look a bit more crisp, detailed, and a little better contrast...

    Acer A510 Anyone?

Higher res doesn't automatically mean everything is smaller. It can be, but they'll just increase icon/font size to make it legible. The advantage is that reading smaller text is much clearer and crisp and anything else that runs at a high res should look better.

    Transformer PAD Infinity (june release)

Hmm, didn't see GPS listed in the spec sheet. I wonder if that's still something they're trying to workout from the TF201.

    Acer A510 Anyone?

I got one, still comparing it to my Transformer Prime. Trying to decide which to keep! Unfortunately it looks like the A510 I got is defective as it appears to have some serious heat issues. Otherwise I'm temporarily ignoring that (until a replacement arrives Friday) and trying to get a good...

    Tablet advice

I take it you're looking for something in the 7" size? Nothing wrong with the Kindle, but if you want a more full featured tablet and don't need all of the apps you get with Android, I'd give a good look at the Blackberry Playbook for $199.

After installing Windows 7, why does it keep asking me to choose which OS to run?

The old Vista MBR must have still been hanging around when you loaded Win7. You can modify the boot.ini directly, or just do it through System Properties. It's the same in Win7 as Vista. Right-click My Computer -> Properties > Advanced System Settings -> Hardware -> go to Settings under...

Quick SSD question (very slow after sleep mode)

I'm having the same issue on one of my notebooks. System wouldn't resume from hibernate (Vista x64), it just sat there until I hard powered off. I didn't really care at first, but then the system started hanging during normal use for no apparent reason. No errors in any log that would apply. All...

    IDE vs. ACHI?

AHCI is the way to go. Vista also already has native support for it. Unless you have some strange controller that wants to be different.

How Important is Hard Drive Performance

256GB SSD is definately a "premium price" drive, and it's very well worth it... if it's in your budget. At least in a notebook. And there is no reason why you can't have both performance and max storage. Nearly all standard sized desktops and most high-end notebooks offer at least 2 internal...

Microsoft Cutting Xbox 360 Prices in the U.S.

That's a great deal. I purchased a regular 360 about 2 years ago and then the elite when it came out, both still work great. If they do fail, they've got a nice 3 year warranty. Now maybe I can talk some more people into buy one so we can play on Live. :)

Dell Inspiron 910 = Impulse Buy

Yep, it is a SSD drive, but the new form factor is limited to 16GB at the moment. I suspect larger drives will follow soon. You can see the actual unit here. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins910/en/sm/ssd.htm#wp1109848 The 910 is also limited to 1GB of DDR2 memory, MAX. :(

    Computer continuous reboot

Can't get into safe-mode at all? I'm guessing at least XP SP2 or newer? Hit F8 and select the option to disable automatic reboot on system failure. Get the BSOD info, google it, and go from there. Otherwise, just start stripping it down. Standard troubleshooting... pull external devices...
