Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
alright I'm going with the EV 2336 !! :)
will take PWM free + better stand and very similar.
Thanks a ton HardForum - u guys have been very patient and invaluable in helping to choose the perfect display for me.
I look forward to enjoying my new monitor =]
dont have such a device unfortunately, but going to try and see if i can borrow from somewhere.
leaning more toward the EV2336 now.
FS seems purely targeted towards gaming, has PWM ( may/maynot matter eventually )
favoring low brightness, then i would prefer EV2336 ( ~20% brightness ) or...
If somewhere 20 % or higher is acceptable enough low brightness, then that is fine. I dont need it super low , but yes do keep it pretty low.
Is there any variable or whatnot to test a brightness "number" on my current screen so that it gives a better idea what my acceptable low lewel...
I would just like to say i appreciate your responses and help! - Namelessme and NCX
about a week ago i was clueless about different panel technologies and all these technical terms and overwhelmed by all the choices. Now, atleast I have it narrowed down to a few models :)
the noticably less sharp is not desirable :( and dont plan on upgrading my GPU for a while + most certainly dont want to push higher than 1200p resolutions for newer games since prefer higher fps.
about PWN issue: well i set brightness low because staring at a bright screen too long hurts my...
I should've mentioned this earlier.
Generally, I always keep my brightness much lower than most users - especially for browsing/reading so less strain on my eyes. But videos/gaming i have it at normal level again, but yea - every other scenario is low.
the S24A850 seems like a great choice...
Alright so the response time is negligible and overshot problem actually less on EV. regardless u say that this is minimal anyway on all models^ ?
Along with better stand + PWM free + similar coating and price. seems good.
27" 2560x seems too big for me , for viewing distance/desk setup (...
spoke to Eizo tech support apparently the EV2336 variants is just color and stand change. nothing major.
and was told it boils down to gaming/general use. some pro gamers will notice the ~3.5ms compared to the lower ~6ms on EV models although the diff. is not a whole lot.
PWM also depends on...
OP. seriously considering this monitor vs the EV2336. Any advice on helping me choose would be much appreciated.
how is the PWN screen flickering on low brightness ?
and ghosting/trailing in games ?
I use primary for browsing but also gaming - not hardcore twitch gaming, but maxing out...
FS2333 vs EV2336 ? i think this will be my ultimate choice.
the EV seems rarer to find than the FS. not much info. out there -reviews about coating etc. ( i'm against heavy AG/grainy)
there are also two variants -atleast on amazon the W and WFS-GY i have no idea what the diff. is here.
these 2...
Thanks for your input :)
are they glossy ?
and Why are they that much cheaper than the IPS/PLS ?
found the samsung one for 280$ ! and a refurbished for 185$
but aren't the response times/input lag suppose to be worse than the 3 choices mentioned ^
Also on 27" 1440p - atleast for gaming fps will drop since i will be using single gtx770.
even if i downscale to 1080p, view distance might be too close i'm assuming?
Thoughts on Crossover 2735 :
found them priced for 380$ on amazon.

the Eizo FS2333 is very intriguing so far. although its 16:9 , but i guess it dosent make much of a diff. since i will game on 1080p if anything and dont want stretch/black bars.
but is an update on the way ? ( 2334 ) if i do decide to get it now i wonder if now is really the best time
other 2...
