Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I was having the exact same problem after I switched ICH SATA Control Mode to AHCI in the bois. Switched it back to IDE and zero issues. Sort of weird.
WOW $1,000?
I really don't care where they got them from or how this happened. The simple fact is I bought a "Fake" cpu from Newegg.
Now will it keep me from shopping from there again? Nope, I'm old and set in my ways. Also the lady that I spoke to was very nice and took care of...
I don't see how anyone could stick that in a mother board. I first thought it was a very extremely damaged CPU. All the pins are missing but you could see where they used to be. After looking at it more you can tell it's just a fake cpu.
I think someone embedded the full size image...
Na, I'm with you. It's pretty funny after the first WTF moment. I just wish this would of happend a day earlier so I could get the replacement today instead of Monday.
