    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

Has anyone tried Bios 3003 on the VII Impact yet? I'm hoping it solves the random "iROG3 is updating" issue after a power off where it just sits in the bios (sometimes for up to 3hrs) before resetting and working fine. Its extremely annoying.

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

I've updated to this bios and I cant boot at anything other than stock settings on my 4770K. It was driving me mad so I've reverted back to the release bios. Has anyone else had any issues with it?

have you ever seen this celeron?

Hopefully its an actual 300A and not one of the early Covingtons which were just P2s without any cache and pretty awful. I had a week 18 SL36C Celeron 366 back in the day on an Abit BP6 that overclocked like a monster. It ran at 616MHz at 2.3v with just an alpha heatsink and at 682MHz at 2.4v...

1366 x58 Xeon Enthusiast overclocks club

Hyperthreading is on. It completed an hour of Prime95 at 1.37v with 1.25v QPI and all other voltages at default: It seems to be a great chip. I think Im pretty much at the limit of my cooling though. Its only a megahalems rev B with a very quiet fan. Ironically I probably wouldnt have...

1366 x58 Xeon Enthusiast overclocks club

I've just got my x5650 today to have a play around with in my old Asus P6X58D-E and it seems for once I've hit the jackpot in the silicon lottery. I only had 20 minutes or so before I had to go to work but this one booted into Windows and I was able to run Prime95 at 4000MHz with default...

Upgrading Through Every Version of Windows

This takes me back, Ive used every one of these from 2.0 to Win 7 except ME and Vista. I stayed on Win2K the longest until support for newer hardware was dropped.

Educate me on the Pentium 3

Im sorry, but this is simply not the case, the coppermine Celerons were not good CPUs, I had a Celeron 600A which I "upgraded to" from a P3 700E which wouldnt overclock, and even at 930MHz the Celeron still lost to the P3 in a lot of things. A Coppermine Celeron (even at 1GHz) would be a poor...

    Can this be possible??

The program is just reading the DDR Voltage instead of the CPU voltage, this is common on some boards.

    celeron-celeron D

What you need to remember is that with cache size (and indeed FSB Speed) you eventually hit a point of diminishing returns. Although the 256Kb L2 Cache on the Celeron-D is a quarter of the amount on the Prescott (as with the Northwood P4 / Northwood Celeron), the jump from 256KB to 1MB is always...

    Anandtechs Preview of SLI!!!!!!!!

I agree, the 128MB memory and 128-Bit Memory Bus on the 6600GT hurts performance at high resolutions and especially so with 4xAA. I imagine the 2x6600GTs would be much closer to the single 6800GT if these cards had 256MB memory. Nonetheless, these results are sweet. :)

Unable to get 3:4 Mem divider to work

What version is your Corsair XMS3200LL? I know you say its BH5 but on my Abit BD7-II Raid I have a similiar issue which is due to CH5. With 2 x 512MB Winbond BH5 installed 3:4 works flawlessly at 200MHz 2-2-2-5 and 2.7v, however with the Winbond CH5 I can only run 150MHz 1:1, like you are...

    Overclocking i875P past 250FSB..

I highly suggest getting some different RAM if you are intending to run over 250MHz FSB with that CPU. I couldnt help but notice in your sig that you are running Corsair XMS3200 v1.2, which uses Winbond CH5 chips. There is a huge incompatibility with Winbond CH5 and Intel's i865/875 chipsets...

p4 1.8 Northy @ 2708 on air. Is this typical?

If you can, run the divider at 3:4, that will put your memory at DDR400 levels and should improve performance (considerably if your board is single channel).
