    Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a shot and see hrm. Worst case I can throw in a digitally controlled pot and couple it with a VReg (LM317T) and by adjusting it , I can alter the regulated output voltage... We'll see..

    Oh yea, it's running at a fixed frequency atm, but I plan to throw in a breadboard-mounted pot to select the operational frequency, and check how the fans react based on experimentation. From what I've read the usual range is 30 - 200 Hz...so that would be the swing offered by the freq. pot.

    GA-965P-DQ6 Temp Monitor...

    Some reasearching has lead me to believe that this mobo uses the IT8712F for managing hardware monitoring. I've used speedfan and it's a bit crap. Was wondering if Asus Probe II would work as that is a nice app...any ideas? MBM doesn't work, and easy tune is really ugly lol.

    Well it's important to understand that the IHS has it's on layer of thermal paste inside, then the metal plating and now AS5 on top. I tend to do it how you say, as you really can't put *too much* as the HSF pressure on the IHS would just squeeze out any excess. (a) this isn't great cause it...
