    It might only be the 2 motherboards. The guy helping me was kind of scatter brained it seemed. I thought he said any z68, but after looking at microcenter's ad, it does appear only the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 and P8Z68-V LX may bundle with the 2600K. Sorry for adding to the confusion.

    I'm doing this now, though I'm guessing it isn't the cause of my problems. After it's done, I'll probably just re-install WHS and see if I continue to have any problems. BTW, how long should badblocks take? I'm running it -nvs and based on the last 24 hrs., it'll be running for 7 days...

The main thing that is making me think it is the HDD is that it will not finish a full sector scan and restarts at some point every time I try.
