Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
As much as I hate the company I work for and their excessive penny-pinching (no raise, no bonus, and no Christmas party, despite an INCREASE in sales over '08), I'm quite happy that I have a relatively secure job and one that has a regular 40 hour schedule (8 to 5). I'll move on from this job as...
I'm going to hold off buying MW2 for a while. $60 for any game is too much for me, and even then, my next game purchase will be Forza Motorsport 3. I played MW on the PC and it's pretty decent, though I wish I have the ability to select & customize weapons before each level (like Ghost...
I usually see myself as an impulse game buyer when there's a good price on a game I want. Case in point, the recent Direct2Drive $5 game sale. I don't fall for the new game hype as often as before, mainly because games (especially consoles) are so expensive. Even if the game actually does gives...
Not me. No e-mail, phone call, or text message is worth injury or death to you, your passengers, or anyone else. The only phone call you can make while driving is 911... and even then, it may be wise to get to a place where you can drive slow. I'm all for outlawing cell phones and texting while...
For $120, you're better off buying a 4870. I got my 1GB 4870 a month ago ($128 shipped @ eWiz) and it's about as fast (or faster) than the 640MB 8800GTS SLI setup I had before. It also helps saves a couple of PCI slots, noise, heat, etc.
To answer the question about the 8800GTS (G80) memory...
I bit.....I'm not hurting for storage, but this would be an excellent drive for external backup. I live in Texas, so tax is a given, but it's $10 cheaper than Fry's 1-day sale last week (granted, Fry's was a retail box, vs. Dell's OEM version). I would add that the free shipping is 2nd Day Air...
I bit this morning.... finally going to retire the SLI 8800GTS (G80) from the gaming rig and go to a single card solution. I was hoping the Dell/Galaxy 9600GT deal would ship out pretty soon, but I don't think it would, so I might just cancel that order and free up some cash.
Same here. That's the right way to sell a new OS -- price it for the masses so that more folks can upgrade through legitimate channels. I don't think Microsoft still has grasped the concept yet... if you sell the upgrade for an affordable price AND offer a multi-license version for a reasonable...
