Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Is there a program...
You guys do realize that there are dummy pins on the CPU. VSS is a ground pin (I believe) and therefore the processor can run without it. It may need to be underclocked, but it isn't a keychain.

I haven't fried anything.
However, when building a new machine a couple years ago, I asked my dad to install the HSF because I couldn't get it to clip. Long story short, neither of us could get it on and I needed to see if it would post. This was when I was a noob to building stuff and I...
Kingston makes great RAM too. Their value RAM is pretty much equal to Crucial's value RAM.
I don't know how much that ThermalTake PSU is costing you, but I've never been a fan of Tt products. If possible, get the Antec 430 TruePower PSU.
Like people have said, better safe than sorry.
