Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I had a laptop go south and want to retrieve some files off the old hard drive. I'm looking for a cheap docking station or enclosure so that I can put the old drive into it and recover the data. Anyone have any suggestions as to a cheap drive enclosure or adapter for this purpose? I think this...
Do you know which pentium mobiles will interface with theCeleron socket? Also, the BIOS: won't it be necesary to somehow hack the BIOS or will it just recognize the pemtium and go along it's merry way?
Related question: Is there a faster Celeron M or any other faster processor that is a plug and play solution. Doesn't the BIOS have to be modified to accept a different processor? And a big second on Vista and 520 RAM being sloow. I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite on sale at BB for $390. I...
Antec Sonata has good cooling (2-120mm) with the front fan directly positioned on the drive cage. If you get the additional Smartfan you'll have zero noise. It's kind of an off color black I would say.
Yes, electronics problems are not brand dependent. I figured out the situation with the system here. Since the system was installed in a house that was hit by lightning , there was a lot of "wild cards" to diagnosing the problems. I thought at first the PSU was not adequate because of the abrupt...
Thanks for the post. Yes, Asus has ATI cards manufactured before a certain date as incompatible. The 9500 pro was running on this board for two years with no problems. Is this section of the motherboard Forum kinda dead? Not many views on any threads here.
I searched but couldn't find any threads regarding bad mobos of this model. My story: two years ago I built a system for a friend using this mobo, P4 2.4C, Corsair XMS 2x 256, WD HD, Antec Sonata, Pioneer DVD & DVDRW, ATI 9500pro. The board failed. Had no power to the vid card and no power to...
I'm having same probs and have tried the same swaps. No video display whatsoever. I'm thinking it's a board related thing. Board I'm using - AsusP400e dlx. Anyone with a resolution process feel free to post.
Well this is pretty timely. I am experiencing similar symptoms but I know it's not due to BIOS flashing. No video display. I have tried clearing the BIOS CMOS, swapped video cards, and tried the supplied CD. Still working on it but I feel this is a board issue probably.
