    RTX 5090 FE Molten 12VHPWR

Yes. They are much sturdier than what what they are officially rated for. While there are examples of fried PCIe 8-pins too, all that I am aware of came from a PSU that catastrophically failed or some dodgy adapter. People often abused PCIe 8-pin power with splitter cables on high power cards...

    RTX 5090 FE Molten 12VHPWR

So their criticism falls flat entirely and can be ignored as apologist bullshit. You used an official Nvidia product that came with the card and it failed the same way as other cards with no adapters.

Which is probably an official product that came with either the PSU or the card? Or is it entirely 3rd party?

LG TVs caught spying even when offline or on standby

Funny thing you mention that. Many TVs have microphone and they also may have a physical switch to disable the said microphone but surprise surprise, it only applies to that particular microphone. It is not the only one. 😁 GN does discuss this with Wendell in the video.

Open network is an open network. If you do not have it password protected, then all bets are off. Regarding the ad hoc connection, I do not know if they do that. They do keep on scanning on nearby devices though.

If you can trust that the said setting does what it says... 😁

LG TVs caught spying even when offline or on standby

Problem is that even if you never connect it to the internet, it will still try to send "telemetry" via possible open Wifi networks near you. If I understood correctly, it is probably possible for them to form temporary ad hoc connections too. You may not have the device connected to the...

At least three exhibitors got robbed at Gamescom 2026 — laptops and handhelds with unfinished game builds stolen from locked cabinets

Among the victims there were also some smaller if not indie devs who lost expensive laptops. Replacing those for people who are already working on peanut budget isn't exactly a small thing. This really smells like an inside job. Gamescom apparently, as far as I know, encouraged them to leave...

The Subscription Economy in America is Collapsing...

Basically the same thing. A program that applies patches to YT apk files to add features (exactly the same features actually) and block ads. It forked from Revanced after all but has been its own thing ever since. Revanced has been a broken mess for a months now and is unlikely to get better as...

The Subscription Economy in America is Collapsing...

Revanced is basically dead or on life support. They had a falling out and a lot of the developers left for Morphe that is in active developement. If I understood correctly Revanced then ripped off Morphes code which led to the DMCA take down and now Revanced patches are removed from Github...

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

And that data has everything mixed, even things that does not have a physical release. That really tips the numbers towards digital.

Microsoft is cracking down on Windows 11 bloatware ads, forces LG to pull McAfee popup

Of course not, that was partially my point. There is a lot of unnecessary shit which I personally do not care about but since they are there, I get why an average joe might think that it is cool that an OS takes care of installing all that crap. But since I am not an average Joe, you bet your...

Microsoft is cracking down on Windows 11 bloatware ads, forces LG to pull McAfee popup

Same thing with other peripherals. When I got my Asus Scope II keyboard a year or so ago imagine my confusion when few hours afterwards I was greeted by the Asus Armoury Crate installation screen. Hell not even confusion but almost panic, "WTF is going on in my computer" I thought. This LG thing...

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

Damn good video about the subject by a lawyer, about the history of the first sale doctrine and how companies are now going around it by taking away the actual sale part and cover it with "licenses" and so on. https://youtu.be/9UAhVqU8rXY

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

Oh there is no question that the digital only is inevitable, it is just so damn convenient and space efficient. But as long as the digital ownership is the wild west that it is now, physical discs have been the only competition to the Sony and Xbox online stores. Now with physical copies getting...
