It freezes or reboots at the windows XP welcome screen when pushed past 210fsb, no matter what the voltage is on the ram or CPU. Ram is at the 333 divider, so...
I don't have the board with me, it's actually my friend's.... but he said he tried the " DFI official" way of clearing the CMOS.
Why the laugh at the hotflash? I corrupted my Ultra Infinity bios (cold boot problem stuff) and used my other friend's NF7s 2.0 to hotflash the DFI's chip.
Does anybody know what boards share the same bios chip as this? I've got one with a corrupted bios and would like to hotflash its chip instead of RMA'ing the board.
I also have a DFI Ultra Infinity NF2 so does anybody know if that board in particular can share the bios chip?
Thanks
Not sure which UT2k4 you're playing, but with AIM up, winamp playing, and UT2k4 running, i don't break 512mb. It gets close, but 512mb is all you need for it. I do have a gig though. Only game I've played so far to use more than 512mb is Planetside, but I'm sure there are others.
Could there be some sort of compatability issue? I've never run into anything like this, or heard of it. Seems like everything should just work if i'm careful about it.
Doesn't show any symptoms of overheating. It is consistant, no artifacting or whatnot.
So i install Win2kPro sp4, Nvidia 3.13 drivers, then ATI drivers.
When does direct x fit in the order?
Any other ideas?
Thanks
What do you mean don't install anything that says Nvidia? I need to use the mobo drivers.....
Which part of the Nvidia drivers don't work well with ATI?
I have a major driver issue with my Asus 9600XT. When I try to boot into windows with the video drivers installed, I get a black screen. If I go to safe mode and uninstall the drivers, I can get into normal mode fine. I've tried many driver versions and reinstalling does nothing. I'm running...
I just built a PC for somebody with the 9600XT, and have the HL2 coupon. I've read multiple times that you have access to steam and the current games like CS, but I can't figure out how to get it running. I have steam installed, but don't know what to do from there.
Any help would be...
Yeah, even though heat spreaders don't do anything, and 2.7 volts is wimpy. I run my Hyper X at 3 volts constantly, and others running all sorts of ram at even higher, namely BH5 stuff.
I do agree that you should try 2.7v, absolutely no reason not to, especially to eliminate that variable.
