I'm using gradlin-v0.2-fs, a small program found on a forum like this one while I was researching monitors. The banding is hardly noticeable in the lighter half of the scale. -

Yes. The banding is only slight, about 1/16" bands when the pattern is across the entire screen horizontally, but noticeable. I've ordered a new video card, my current Radeon 7000 only has 32MB video RAM. We'll see how it looks on a Radeon 9600Pro w/256MB. Maybe the old one can't display... -

Received my LP2065 from Buy.com yesterday (promo model with rebate), and it is the GSM002 rev S-IPS built in Mar 2007. It looks great however I do see color banding on the gradient test that I did not see on my old Viewsonic VP181 (IPS). The VP181 had perfectly smooth transitions on the test...
