Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just got a replacement 193P from CompUSA for a dead pixel, and the shimmering problem is much improved! I can't see any color change in the text on this site no matter how fast I scroll, and now the shimmering on the other linked site is slightly green instead of very red as before.
The...
This thread is like a substitute for having a girlfriend to tell us how messy our workstations are, since a lot of people seem to be cleaning up before taking pics
I've been looking at arms for a while, and the one that would do what I want doesn't seem to be available. I just want to have my LCD in front of my CRT and move it out of the way when I'm gaming. The problem is, the arm has to fold up so the lcd is very close or directly in front of the post...
I just got a 193P, and I agree that you pay for gaming to get good image quality. For reading and coding, nothing beats my 193P. I am much more productive now because I don't get as much eye strain. But now I'm looking for an LCD arm so I can move it out of the way and use my CRT for gaming...
I started out at 80 brightness, which is impressive and nice to look at for a while. But it is really bright and strains my eyes. I've been at 55 brightness and 58 contrast for over a week now, and I can spend hours and hours at it without tiring. It's a great boost in productivity over my...
The tough part about comparing the 173p or 193p is that you need to have it hooked directly in to a computer with no multiplexer so you can run MagicTune and move its brightness up from the factory default of 50%. I finally found a Media Center PC at Fry's that had a 193p directly plugged in...
I see a slight green tint when I scroll very quickly and look closely for it on this site, and I also see the red "shimmer" on that other site. When scrolling normally or not scrolling, all text is white. Do you have cleartype turned on? That might help.
I just got my 193p yesterday, and...
I'm going from CRT to LCD this Christmas, reason #1 being to reduce eye strain while coding for days at a time. After reading this:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/other/print/lcd-guide.html
I realized that the decision today for people like me most concerned about eye strain must be *VA...
I looked on fatwallet.com and they didn't list Fry's in the stores listing. Can you post a link?
Is there a limit on that RAM? I could use 4 sticks of 256.
