Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That $200 difference gets me 400 rounds of 7.62x39. Honestly the prices this gen have seen me (780Ti/980Ti/1080Ti) say screw nvidia. If I do get a 2080ti it will be on ebay once it hits $600-$700.
That's fantastically inaccurate; Bloomfield is still quite capable when it comes to pc gaming. The only thing holding back Bloomfield is lack of pcie 3.0, which has a toll in certain games around GTX 1080 horsepower, but never to a point where it's tangibly noticeable...
I have yet to buy a used GPU from ebay that looked any different than a new one; that's why there are pictures. I've bought 11 used GPUs in the past two years and all but 1 work pristinely. The one that did not work I returned and money was refunded within 48 hours.
1080Tis are selling well under $700 on ebay including shipping, in the buy it now section some are $620 with shipping. In auction they have gone sub $600.
The last few years I've been willing to pay ~$740 per Ti (780Ti/980Ti/1080Ti) card for around ~$1480 for 2-way SLI, but the unabashed (and undisciplined) greed on display here by nvidia is just dishonorable and frankly; insulting. This unbridled greed is a huge turnoff to me; to the point where...
Given the rather average performance jump historically, where x80 cards are equivalentish to preceding Ti cards (i.e. GTX 980 /780Ti, 1080/980Ti) and the Ti cards are typically only decent in performance gains, then I would be very surprised if the 2080Ti blows the 1080Ti out of the water with...
