Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I went from Winamp to ephpod to Music manager and a couple of others on the way to iTunes and really there is no contest. iTunes is a great piece of software and it is also free.
Tagging is pain in the butt but there are a multitude of ways to do it without too much pain. Same goes for album...
I've had a white nano for two weeks. I have treated with the same respect that I have treated my 3g iPod. My 3g iPod is 2 years old and has a few scuffs and scratches here and there mostly on the back. All in all it still looks great. My nano on the other hand already has a smudge on the screen...
It won't affect my buying decisions but then again I don't think I need to replace my Powerbook any time soon. I might pick up a Mini in the next year or so.
I do think that we will see the Intel machines before we expect them however. It seemed very strange of Apple to announce so far in...
I had problems with my upgrade in that certain programs were causing problems by being incompatible with TIger without my knowledge. Virex being the main culprit bu iSync also crashed for no apparent reason.
Eventually I simple backed p and did a clean install. I am not familiar with archive...
If you did an upgrade to Tiger I wodl take a look at what is hogging the CPU. When I first di an upgrde on my PB12" te CPU was at 100% all the sodding time and everything lagged to hell. I found out soon after that my installation of Virex from .mac was incomaptible with Tiger and was giving me...
I would quit worrying about the battery and enjoy the product. It is going to last a few years by which time you will have long replaced it with somethign new.
I hate WASD. Far too easy to stray off the relevant button at the wrong time. Also lopsided. Ugh.
I have always remapped to the number pad since the very early days. I like to use Turn left and right as well as Strafe and the mouse. Just gives a little extra movement options and the essential...
I don't get the battery issue. What is better a single rechargeable battery that lasts the lifetime of the product or hundreds of normal batteries discarded in the lifetime of the product?
Download the combi installer rather than the simple update package. All the problems I ever have arise from an update. Do the full combi install and so far my problems ahve been solved.
Works fine to meon a 12" PB. I think a number of issues that have materialised are related to one single problem with a driver bug in a 3rd party app which causes the log file to increase in real time until the entire hard drive is consumed. It is a McNally product whose name escapes me but...
