Thoughts about Ikea Jerker and Fredik?

The last time I was at my local Ikea I had a chance to check out the Frederik, and it felt a little flimsy to say the least. I went with a slightly more expensive Galant desk instead; nice wide and deep surface, rigid frame and legs (unfortunately no shelves or other appendages). And as far as I...

    Center channel recommendations?

The center's I've seen so far have, in general, had relatively high sensitivites compared with the bookshelf speakers. The only reason I was considering the Cadence was that they appear to have a small, dedicated fan base (at least for their car audio equipment). I can't say I know much about...

    Center channel recommendations?

Hi everyone, Here's the situation: I have a pair of Klipsch B-2's and a pair of Insignia's functioning as fronts and rears, respectively. I'm looking for an inexpensive center channel to mount on my wall to supplement, and hopefully, improve my listening experience. I've already purchased...

new Samsung 2253BW! check it out!

I just received my 2253LW direct from Samsung in an exchange for a subpar 2253BW. During the exchange process I had talked to a woman at Samsung support, and she seemed to imply that the LW's had replaced the BW's, but I don't think she really knew- the only solid piece of information I obtained...

It's a Harman Kardon AVR 146 5.1. It retails for $300, but you can get it refurbished (i.e., like new) from Harman Kardon directly on their ebay page for cheap. I've seen some go for upwards of $145, but I managed to snag one for $125.

The monitor stand is an Ergotron LX, which you can find on buy.com in silver or black. The lamp is a Luxo/Ledu fluorescent/incandescent swing arm desk-clamp lamp. You should be able to find the lcd arm for around $110 (it's excellent, by the way) and the lamp for around $90.

Opinions on a 2.1 or 2.0 speaker setup

While looking more closely at the Insignia's at bestbuy.com, I noticed a few other speakers that might fit my needs. Does anyone have any experience with them...

Opinions on a 2.1 or 2.0 speaker setup

I'm not too interested in a receiver, and I'd like to avoid getting a sub to save a few monies. I had seen those Insignia's but I'm a little dubious of Best Buy brand quality. Care to convince me otherwise?
