I was looking for the HDR screen that looks great in dark room, but also is useable in average lighting(C2 isn't), and I think I found that screen for now. I'm sure they will do better in the future with screen coatings. For example people(even purist) are very happy with LG G3. Reflection...
Matt coating look disgusting. I hate that grainy look and vaseline-like patches of glare🤮
I was looking at that for almost 20 years.
Leave matte for office and spreadsheet 😉
Like I said already for avarge room lighting QD-Oled or LG G3 coatings have perfect balance.
Good blacks, good reflection...
I would absolutely agree with that if you can always control your lighting or have very dark room C2 coating is amazing.
But reality is that some people can't do that. I also can't place my screens so the window is behind. Sometimes i play games in that living room with other family members...
Yeah I have seen all these pictures like 100 times 🤪 but honestly in avarge room lighting this screen is fantastic, and I was expecting to be terrible.
I just went to my bedroom to check my C2 again and reflections are really distracting.
And this bedroom is a darker room with window on the...
I was reading so many complains about QD-OLED black level in bright room and comparisons like this put me off for so long. Previously I was using 42"C2 for 1 year.
I have my PC in living room with big window on the left side. Evening time I also don't like to sit in darkness and usually have...
I know it's unavoidable if you mostly run 16:9 content. Also pixel shifting should help here. Some people use zoom to fill chrome extensions for videos as well.

Very extreme test, to play 700h of CNN on 21:9 PC monitor in full brightness.
Thank god there is 3 years warranty for that. What brightness level you use, and did you play a lot of HDR in 16:9?
I have my monitor in SDR most of the time 40% brightness ~100nits. Hopefully this will slow down any burn in.
Hello everyone. Just bought DWF in UK for £665 from Dell website.
Switching from LG 42 C2 to this AW monitor and OSD is a joke.
I have the newest firmware M3B104.
In Creator, sRGB' preset gamma 2.2 looks washed out, more like 2.0.
Changing to 2.4 badly crushing blacks. 1-6 blocks in Lagom black...
Best thing about 2080ti these days is that 11GB of Vram and DLSS2. For example when all internet was crying how broken TLOU part 1 was, I could play that game from day 1 in 4k60fps, dlss balanced, high settings.
Exactly that. When I bought mine I asked seller to verify Samsung memory in GPU-Z.
And like I mentioned before with Samsung you have easy OC. Some people are getting +1400MHz, but +1000 is pretty much guaranteed, and that is 15% higher bandwidth.
