Playing Cyberpunk2077 in High Native 4K with an i5-3570K and an RX 9070 16GB vs an i7-14700T

Div 2 has a demo (large download though 100GB+, like the whole game for just the demo lol) https://store.steampowered.com/app/2221490/Tom_Clancys_The_Division_2/ I remember getting CPU bottlenecked at the time with it (3570k) and my old RTX 2070 @1440p

Playing Cyberpunk2077 in High Native 4K with an i5-3570K and an RX 9070 16GB vs an i7-14700T

I gamed with my 3570k till 2020/2021 when I did my current 5950x build - 3570k became HTPC CPU till I bought a Xeon 1280v2 cheap off ebay to replace it for higher thread count (and utilize VT-d and such with my mobo) Try The Div 2 and Last of Us Pt 1 Remake

    Hypervisor preference fight - GO!

I like Hyper-V for pretty much everything but I'm jealous of VMWare's better vGPU/3D performance, especially for older/XP/etc systems (GPU passthrough negates this with Gen2 Hyper-V etc)

Dev at id Software says Microsoft 'burned a lot of bridges' in the industry

No, it's not. They need recurring revenue. They have operational costs, every day, of every year. That can either be paid by releasing a game (from a franchise portfolio) every year, or recurring revenue from online games, or both. "Risks" are for when times are good, and you don't have to...

El_Capitan's Vast Personal Graphics Card Experience (08/11/2026)

Damn, I was not aware of that before I read this. The reason I wasn't willing to buy the Ti over the regular 5070 was because it was that price (originally) By the time I build my next computer I'm only gonna be buying a xx5x or xx3x series card at this rate 😅🫨

    Upgraded from a 5950x to a 9850x3d

Nah I don't think so, it seems it was a BIOS issue - I've had my FCLK 1:1 with my memory @ 1900/3800 since I got my 5950x back in early 2021 - had the USB drop out issues for years - got better over time but was still there - but also haven't had it for years now though, finally

    Any info on Windows 12?

Only ones I think genuinely had issues that I've used are ME and 11 - was fine even with Vista and 8/8.1
