Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
A sad day indeed. Mine is still going strong but I fear that day will come eventually.
Don't get the G500, it's so old tech. I would suggest a Roccat Kone EMP for something around the same size or if you like a smaller size, the Kone Pure Owl Eye
Top sensorm great buttons, A+ scroll wheel.
Thanks for the update. The amount of dead pixel is pretty bad damn. I'm not surprised about the uneven backlight. Are you picking it up in-store at Newegg?
I wish you had an AMD card to test freesync and that blue/purple hue thing hmm
The new model replacing the KU6300 is the
UN40MU6300FXZC for the 40" version. Sony X800D would probably be better but I believe it's being discontinued so hard to find.
I've been thinking about buying one. The Viotek model is pretty much the exact same thing: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS9CDDA
They use the same OEM or something. I just feel it's a bit overpriced at $400 CAD but our dollar sucks so there's that.
Cap your in-game FPS at 73Hz. If there isn't an option to limit your frames in DOOM, use RSST to cap your FPS. Make sure vsync is off. You won't have tearing.
I see but I feel that you're a bit pessimistic. We could see something similar to the B75 vs Z77 chipset once more. Cheap motherboards allowing BCLK overclocking isn't too far fetched IMO
BCLK overclocking on the non-K skylake might be very interesting. It's not linked to PCIE/Sata anymore, only RAM.
i5 6400 is pretty cheap. It has a multiplier of 27. I've heard BCLK of 200 being possible so
27x150 bclk =4050 Mhz would be very nice
and the i5 6500 I believe has a multiplier of...
