Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Of the 5 nodes 3 are wired and two are wireless. TBH, I haven't looked closely at performance. Coverage is good, and no one in the household is complaining. ;-)
Yes, it's exactly this. There's plenty of DV profile 5 stuff, and it plays fine on my LG and doesn't play at all on this one. It's a shame, really. DV has won the HDR battle and there's a chance that this problem is going to get worse instead of better. As you say "older ones didn't have an...
Couldn't avoid this deal. But the DV thing is a problem. My LG Oled streaming from plex has no issues (of course, it supports DV), the new samsung pops up an error message that says "Playback Error" - "File is unplayable. Color space is not supported."
A quick google for reviews turned up "tons" (meaning, the only complaints I saw were all saying the same thing) of people saying the same thing on amazon reviews, and reddit. Was enough to scare me away, but I've got enough great keyboards to hold me over so my opinion probably means nothing...
Tons of reports of the keys failing after approx. 18 months of use, and the company being extremely hard to deal with w.r.t. the 2 year warranty. Of course, I'm sure there are lots of people having success, but I decided to cancel my order after reading those reports... Can't be bothered.
I'm posting this mostly because the number of times I've referred back to my previous build thread:
https://hardforum.com/threads/new-threadripper-1950x-build.1964104/
to remind myself what was actually in the box was too many to count. Having this here for posterity will likely pay off...
Hey, yeah, TechPowerUp looks like a nice alternative. A reasonable homepage layout, and a good mix of news and reviews...just like our beloved. Thanks!
I have the Rift. The generally held position is that using only two cameras mounted in the HMD is going to be terrible for tracking the controllers. It's already questionable when using 4 cameras as compared to having 3 lighthouses.
I couldn't find a thread on this anywhere else, and though that "General Hardware" might be the best place for it? If it already exists somewhere else, please point me there...
But...
I wish Kyle the best.
However, this site has been my absolute go-to for honest reviews and tech news since...
