I just wanted a nice 144hz screen with low input lag for counterstrike/fps games. Now I learned there is a problem with the v1 firmware. I ordered a new one from amazon today. Will I have problems with it still ? Anyone else own this monitor or ordered one from amazon lately ?
Ive forgotten to mention that sometimes when it would shut off it would keep rebooting without ever getting to windows but that doesnt happen every time
also Ive used many different keyboards mice and usb ports
When my Pc was connected to my mouse and keyboard at my desk with a rolling computer chair it would work 100%. BUT when I went to the other side of the room ( PC in same place in same outlet). My PC would freeze completely every time iI stood up from my couch if I had my mouse and keyboard there...
pretty sure that the two dells really were defective
the asus IPS looks much better but Im not keeping it ...for some reason just cant get it to look right in dota 2...Im thinking its because the dota 2 client is naturally too dark
I will most likely get a higher end IPS down the line like...
I was until I realized that 16:9 gives you more vision of dota 2 than 16:10 which puts you at a disadvantage due to poor design by valve
maybe IPS just isnt for me =(
basically everything has a slightly yellow tint
but the biggest problem is that in games like dota and sc2 the colors/screen is too dark
even at 100 brightness 100 contrast
I made sure the energy conserving thing is off also
its a nvidia card yes GTX 570 with DVI only
so the dells were DVI to DVI
but the asus is DVI to HDMI could the problem with the asus have to do with dvi to HDMI ?
I did try all the monitors with a different pc also though
yes it is set to cool
I messed around with brightness and contrast
also every preset and tweaked it as much as possible
I didnt mess around with RGB though
the best I could get it still does not look right
almost EXACTLY the same coloring issues the dell monitors had ...its very strange...
