    More DLSS...

    Great news!

Would a modern CRT make any sense?

Oh yeah absolutely I would be fine with frame gen and no Reflex 2 at 1000hz, especially if base frame rate is like 100fps+ but no doubt even a 60fps base would be fine for a lot of things especially in single player. Reflex 2 is more like... the last nail in the coffin and the point where we...

Would a modern CRT make any sense?

Pretty sure we will get 1000hz OLED before Pulsar OLED, given how much brightness the current Pulsar tech requires. OLED brightness is improving slowly, but that's mostly on TVs which are big and can accommodate a large heatsink. OLED monitors brightness is really in a different, and worse...

Dual CCD X3D CPU's and thread scheduling

I personally just set BIOS to prefer vcache, and don't use the drivers or gamebar. I manually assign some non game stuff to the second CCD if needed. This way you can be sure the main game threads are on the vcache CCD, and if the game needs more threads it can still use the second CCD...

    LG 48C6 OLED48C6PUA evo AI C6 4K Smart TV 2026

Not too surprising I guess since their non QD-OLED were already LG panels so it all comes from the same factories.

Playstation single player games will no longer be ported to PC

Whatever. Single player games can be enjoyed decades later. There'll be emulators just like there are for PS2 and PS3 games now for example (PS4 too but not many games work). That's how I end up playing those exclusive titles (and it's not many that I find appealing).

How to mitigate lag at 100% CPU load on Raptor Lake

But why do you want a background process on the P cores? And P95, at that? It seems like the perfect behaviour to me outside of niche situations like running multiple game servers on a box. It's not really a workaround it's the ideal way to use your cores on a consumer machine. It's not just...

    LG 48C6 OLED48C6PUA evo AI C6 4K Smart TV 2026

Fair points. I hope LG fixes some stuff, or that at least some valid workarounds are found soon. It actually isn't selling in my country for a couple more months anyway (they always release in June here) and I'd also like to be sure they're not doing some panel lottery like Samsung who swapped...

    LG 48C6 OLED48C6PUA evo AI C6 4K Smart TV 2026

If previous models had similar software issues it isn't too promising I must say :( Now, I am doing SDR 90% of the time, but when I turn HDR on for a specific video or game, I want it to be good so uh yeah, step it up LG. I guess the S95f will come down in price significantly this year as...

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

A 9950X3D is a 1 x 9800X3D + 1 x 9700x. Release price reflected that. A 9950X3Dv2 is 2 x 9800X3D (actually even 9850X3D since better clocks, but I disgress), the pricing is thus totally normal, as Tsumi said. That the extra cache doesn't do anything is no surprise either, that cache is gated...

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

Not that it really matters much but from reviewing Skatterbencher's findings: Stock PPT is 270w (ouch) vs 200w on the V1, but the CPU doesn't ever reach that - probably some hard amps/voltage limits at play to preserve the cache, still a lot more power than the V1 for sure. After overclocking...

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

But the cache is split on the V2, so there is still jumping between both CCDs, anyways. V1 is 32+64MB on CCD0, 32MB on CCD1, V2 is 32+64 on each CCD, that's it. Unless your data is small enough to fit in the cache of one CCD... but then the V1 (or a 9800X3D) will provide the same gaming...

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

Yea but they are better on the V1 according to this picture, but maybe that's a mistake.

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

I strained my eyes but your screenshot doesn't show any improvement or significant difference? In fact many numbers look lower aka better on the right part, which is the V1.

    What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

It's just as expected anyhow, you can still find games where it helps maybe, but do you play them? And how much do you care about them, specifically? Wendell found Borderlands 4, for example: https://youtu.be/1PcO2k6vprY?t=664 He also highlights some evident driver issues though, since the 8...
