Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
T-Mobile 5G home internet in failover.
For $20/month I have their backup internet plan. I also wanted something that stayed up during a power outage. My previous ISP, Astound did not battery back their equipment and I would lose connectivity whenever the power went out (which is frequent in...
I have the TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro AXE5400 mesh system in AP mode with a 2.5Gbit backbone behind my ubiquity unifi gateway max.
I get decent wifi speeds.
Technically the Xfinity Gateway also has Wifi7, but I don't use it as I have a dual WAN setup on the Ubiquity for failover and I don't get...
I use a Microsoft account, my Hotmail account I made back in 98. I never saw the issue with using a Microsoft account. If I didn't already have one, I would have just made a dummy account like I use with google and Apple services. I prefer it over the local account experience as I redirect all...
My home network all crammed into a 42" OnQ in-wall media cabinet.
Here's all the stuff I have in there:
Ubiquity Unify Gateway Max
NOKIA NKFN11AEL Fiber Modem
xfinity XER10 Wifi7 10G router (Required for their 2Gb fiber service)
TP-Link Deco XE75 Wifi 6e AP
2x D-Link 2.5g switches that work...
I have a small pile of hardware in my garage. My friend gave me all his old gear to part out when he got out of the folding scene, he was in the top 5 of primegrid before he quit. These systems have all been partially parted out, so to confirm the CPUs I'll need to either do a little re-assembly...
Windows setup will take care of all the partitioning for you.
If you don't care about accessing the machine remotely using remote desktop, encrypting the drive using bit locker, or joining a domain, home will work just fine.
Generally I'll only do a clean install of the OS with a major hardware change... so every 6 to 24 months.
Back during the windows 7 pre-release days I'd roll the OS every couple weeks and started keeping my user profile folders on a separate drive so I could blow away the OS without impacting...
Thanks, but It's no big deal.
Both UPS and other carriers (except ontrack*) have been doing an awesome job.
*Our Ontrack driver likes to toss packages :|
I literally had to chase the UPS guy down the street to get the first couple EVGA 30x0 series cards as I wasn't fast enough to answer to door, but the more recent hybrid deliveries they just left them on my porch and drove off 🤷♂️
