    Is it ok to leave your laptop running 24/7 ? Will it get too hot? This is my first laptop and it seems like even my desk gets hot around the laptop.

    vinnie, I tried that, still won't work. Norton is finding nothing wrong with my computer at all, Spybot and Ad-Aware aren't finding anything. I'm on the verge of going insane.

    The only way I can get into My Computer is through IE. And when I do that I can't close or minimize the window. This is driving me NUTS.

    I've ran win doctor, and it says it has fixed all the errors. I almost know it is a spyware problem because everytime I google something it opens up some other sidebar search engine too. As for the site that caused this, I have no clue. I don't visit lewd sites thanks to my outgoing girlfriend...

    I ran Registry Healer, it found 245 errors but could only fix 15. I'm guessing this is my problem? Are there any free programs for this? You would think Norton Systemworks would have something for it. I've tried everything else you all suggested, but none worked.

    I got it working. I changed the jumper to master and it works just fine.
