Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
in the classical "a place to get on the internet" sense, yes of course.
but gaming centers are everywhere and excellent way to meet people with similar interests
I spent a whole weekend at a LAN trying to appreciate DOTA 2, but no way...
something about the none interaction of your mouse clicks and the onscreen action, and the randomness and lack of impact on your direct keyboard/mouse skills...
FPS ftw
same here, the FOV of Wolf3D is too low, so turning in game doesn't feel "good" and after a while you can get sick.
a FOV that is too high will rarely make you sick.
VR definitely requires good hardware, but if the developer ignores the requirements of a fluent VR experience, he is definitely to blame.
with the Oculus I've found that experiences where you are seated (flight sim, race sim, the chair experience, etc) are the best regarding controlling nausea...
this demo is not about highest image quality, because you'll need to render a world at 90+fps to make it VR acceptable;
and if they can manage that, while the game looks like this, I would say it's very impressive
no real world tests, only fun theories.
put money with the numbers, all CPU coolers from years gone by were top-down.
Ever since the introduction of tower CPU coolers, CPU temps have gone down, noise has gone down, all is well.
the only case for top-down coolers is when you don't have a case...

Tech is one of the industries where a degree gives you a foot in the door to old-school companies, and nothing more. Tech evolves constantly, so self education is the most important part of it.
if you can find a job with a company which doesn't require you to have a degree, there's not much...

VR has so much potential, to make you (re)live moments in your life...
Can only comment on VR implemenation as that's what my focus is right now:
AC VR DK2 support is currently superior to Project CARS, which suffers from shadow bugs and hard to navigate menu's.
With AC you can put menu's on your monitor and race in DK2.
Both are missing GUI in VR, AC does...
in 1997 the first cable internet provider in Belgium offered 1.5Mbps down, in their contract they had a limit written down: 300Mb. Of course this was ridiculous, even in 1997, they told people however that they would not enforce this limit.
we're now almost 20 years later. they are also...
