    I just downloaded and ran the Nvidia system utility and it show the agp is running at 53mhz on my K8N-E board too. I'm running the latest bios 1005.

    I've just installed 64bit XP and played a little bit of Doom3 and Halo. Didn't notice any difference in speed. Haven't run any bench marks though, thats probably the only way I would see any difference.

    Have you swapped the two sata adaptors between the drives to rule out a bad adaptor? Also double check the jumper on the 'bad drive' makesure its jumpered the same as the other sata drive. Your power supply should be able to handle it. Drives will draw a little extra current on spin up and...

    I would clear the cmos using the procedure in the manual? Also plug a speaker into the sound jack to hear the Asus post reported. Could be your CPU or ram. What video cards did you try?
