had a drunken wal-mart trip at 3:30 to grab some food - remembered that it was black friday morning. we snagged the employee floorplans (the black friday items were all over the store in weird locations, it's like they made some kind of game out of it). I found the 32" LCD HDTV's in the meat...
has anyone been able to find pc1066 for a decent price nowadays? I know it's most likely out of production, but I've been stuck with 512MB of pc1066 since i pieced together my machine 2 years ago, and i'm not going to shell out $300+ to double it when i can just put that cash toward a new...
if you're looking for cheap, i just bought a Scepture x19G gamer. 12ms refresh, bright as hell screen with great contrast, resolutions scale very well (native is 1280x1024 but half life looks just fine in 1024x768), and it has DVI/VGA/S-Video/Composite inputs. All for about $300:

hands down, absolutely The Last Blade 2 for dreamcast. such a great game...it came out in america but it's a bit pricey on ebay.
never played it on dreamcast but mark of the wolves was pretty sweet for the neo.
don't have halo 1, but i tried out halo 2 on my 360 for the first time last night and goddamn it looks good...the intro almost looks like the game was made for 360 (the textures are still a bit muddy though). and it was definitely widescreen and higher resolution. framerate is identical.
The fact that the dreamcast was allowed to die is a travesty. The only console that I was more happy having on opening day was probably the N64 (only because of mario 64), but the dreamcast had that "complete package" feel right out of the box. I never had a single problem with my console...
I got that same exact cable from lik-sang...great company to deal with. Like everyone said - make sure you have the older cube that has the digital av out. Also - to play games in progressive mode you have to press and hold down the "B" button while the machine is starting up. madden looks...
The Japanese-style Saturn controller is probably tied with the genesis 6 button controller as the best controller ever made...best d-pad in the world.
The SNES controller was a piece of crap - no ergonomics, and the diamond shaped design of the buttons made playing street fighter a bitch.
have one reserved at gamestop for second shipment...got a call today from gamestop with a last minute offer of a core system at midnight which i refused (i'll just wait a week to get my premium).
I strolled by one of our 30 24-hour walmarts by my house to grab some groceries and check out...
Just called my Gamestop, and my Xbox360 is on the f'ing second shipment even though I reserved it in June (5 months ago!). Might want to call and check if you have one reserved...
I have a Samsung 50" DLP (circuit city, $2250). Amazing TV, no problems whatsoever with it. Running cox HD Cable via DVI and the PQ on ESPN and Discovery is phenominal. DVD's and games look fantastic too (Gamecube Madden in progressive scan is a site to behold).
My father has an LG 42"...
I just reinstalled Windows XP, and whenever my computer boots into windows, there's a very loud "hiss" through the speakers (I have a Soundblaster Audigy 1). As soon as I go into the audio control panel and mute->unmute any input or output channel, the hissing goes away. anybody else...
There's actually no music, the speaker button would just turn sound off entirely, i.e. the click sounds and whatnot. trust me, i know how annoying music is on a page haha. I wouldn't subject people to that ;)
I'll definitely post back when things are done. thanks for the advice...
