Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just put together a 'new' AM4 rig to hook up to my bedroom TV for $110 (5600 + b550 + 16gb ram, had psu and gpu already). AM4 is still hard to beat for a super cheap build. Prob don't need a X3D vs the 5600 I have for my use case, but can definitely see it make sense for many others.
Many reports of it working fine. Its probably a 4090 chip on a 3090 PCB. There is also 4090D for a good bit less. That said, $2500 for a 4090D 48GB is still a bit more than what I want to spend.
I dont know what year you guys are still living in but China's labor cost is not really cheap anymore. Heck Mexico is cheaper. Just go look up some data.
Well, institutional investors are selling while retail is buying. Between DeepSeek and potential tariffs against Taiwan, let's just say that it is at least wise to be wary.
This is instituional traders that triggered the sell-off, not retail. Very obvious from the futures activity pre market open. These traders are way more sophisticated than you.
Heck it is one reason why China is becoming stronger in sciences. In the US a lot of top talent end up in hedge funds...
What is China going to do to me via my router lol. I'll buy the best router for the cheapest price that suits my needs. Heck I'd give up my router data for a monthly fee if they want to buy it.
Nothing special about the Apple cable. For shorter runs passive TB cables work fine. For longer ones (6ft) best to use active ones. For even longer ones need optical.
That youtube video is comparing a passive vs an active cable. Of course its going to be 'much better' but its not because its...
