Well I just saved some money. Reinstalled drivers and no issues so far. The fan noise wasn't the card fan. I noticed the whole computer had a bad vibrate, come to find out one of the blades off my corsair H50 fan broke off causing my 5870 fan to be off balance.
My computer was freaking out with the card installed and shut down the system. Now it boots but the fan is louder than hell. It looks like I need a new fan or an aftermarket fan/heatsink. Anyone recommend a good replacement fan?
So my card is dead and my warranty has expired with sapphire. which card would match the card or be a little faster in the $200 range? I really don't care about brand, but would like a longer warranty than 2 years. I game at 1920x1080 and like to run at high or max settings on most games...
I have a 120mm fan in the bottom of the case, and this bay fan:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185020
And I also counted the CPU fan with the total fan count.
Here are my new system specs:

I'm new to overclocking, but the first mistake I made was my ram was frequency was set to high. Make sure you don't leave all the voltages to auto, manual set them. I don't know much about the Q6600, but a lot of users here use that chip and they should be able to help better. I would also...
What is your VCore? Do you have it set on auto? If so change it to manual and try 1.18 and see if you can stay stable. If not bump it up one. I learned that if I leave my vcore on auto then it can set the voltage to high and get higher temps.
I have a Vendetta 2 on my Q9650 overclocked to 3.6. My idle temps are around 32-34c on all cores and load temps 47-50c on load temps. Download realtemp 3.0 and run the sensor test, then use prime95 to test. After the test you will see your distance to TJ max on all your cores. Also my temps were...
I assume that you will be overclocking? If so I would try to spend a little more on a nice cooler. Here are a couple nice ones:

Well I couldn't take it anymore :D and overclocked my CPU to 3.6. I just bump up the FSB to 400x9 and left all the voltages to auto. My idle temps are 39 39 40 40 After running a prime95 small FFT test the load temps were 57 57 58 57. I just ran it for 10 min to test for heat issues. I assume...
