    I recommend the A64 for folks who are hesitant to overclock, yet want power. If you're an overclocker, there's simply no other than Intel.

    I don't recommend SiS for high end, but for low end, I find them to be incredibly stale. 745 Ultra here Prime 95's 19 hours.

    What vidoeocard Ted? I get close to 12,000 with no explorer tweaks or anything on a Athlon XP 2000+ [1700+ overclocked](155 fsb), MSI SiS 745 Ultra board, 1024 mb of DDR at 310 2-5-2-2, Radeon 9600 Pro at 529 core-351 mem.

    Celerons are WEAK. Which to me, is sad....considering I loved my 266, 300A, 333A, 366A, 400A, 600, etc.

    I've used both 512 and 1 gig, and yes, 1 gig is better. There is difference....but it isn't a HUGE "I can't play this" type of problem. Just keeps data flowing better. Other than that, I'd say it's all top notch.

    Power, power, and more power. I've found psu's to be a large contributer to prime errors.

    Remove the IHS! The Zalman can be screwed down that little hair to make complete contact. I dropped temps dramatically doing this the other day. Dramatically.

    I'd go either 2.4C/2.8C and hope for mega overclock, or an Athlon 64 3000+.
