    Crucial Ballistix Tracer died within 3 months. Is this a common problem?

    Sorry to thread dig... Just want to update. Got the ram back from Crucial. Memory is still hot to the touch even at 1.8v @ stock speed. I throw in an Antec spot fan cooler and the memory is now cool to the touch. Hopefully it won't die on me again. :)

    Bought a pair of 1GB sticks, DDR2 800, back in November. It was fine for a few months. Set it to 2.2V, 4-4-4-12 per specification from Crucial. Kept it at stock speed 800mhz. Beginning of January or so, computer started crashing. It gradually gets worse and worse, until I couldn't take it...
