Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hoping you guys might be able to shed some light on a problem I am having with my monitor this morning.
Went to bed last night and powered down my monitors and when I got up this morning my LG doesn't seem to want to turn on. I have tired replacing the power cable, the DVI cable and I even...
Wide shot of my desk/dresser/tv. Nothing to interesting sorry to say
Closer view of my actual desk.
And seeming how lots of you guys seem to be posting Home Theater setups as well here is mine. You can even see my flash go off on the TV.
So i am looking at putting together a HTPC that will allow me to do the following.
- Play Blu-Ray Movie in 720P (my TV doesn't support 1080P, just 1080i)
- Record TV onto Hard Drive
Other thing I want to do are pretty straight forward, but I am still confused at what exactly I need.
So at this point my main question is am I going to be able to play Blu-Ray movies with this badboy. My TV only supports up to 780p so am I going to be able to get that out of this machine with the listed hardware? Is what is on the Mobo powerful enough to play HD movies or do I need a beefier GPU?
So I am brand new to the HTPC world and am looking to jump on the bandwagon. I have pieced together what I think should be a pretty good rig.

Well my video card has bitten the dust. After a few good years of service i need to start thinking about what to get to replace. Now i was hoping this...
Not sure where else to put this post but i can only really think its a video card issue.
Over the last 2 days i have been noticing (for the lack of a better word) squares on my screen.
Almost like looking through a kaleidescope or something. Its not super noticeable when i am just using...

Found it the other day. The majority of these are pretty funny.
Just got this the other day for 20 bucks at work. Worked out really well. Just need to get some lighter fluid or paint thiner to get that tape residue off the front draws.
I am in the market for a new 20+ LCD, but am kinda torn between the two of these models. Just wondering if anyone on the boards has had any experience with either model and what they thought about it.
Big question being is the Samsung worth the price jump between the LG?
Also if anyone...
Yah there is a lot to consider also you are just saying a good 42" TV for around 2k? Ok so what is it going to be used for mainly (TV/Movies, Gaming?) Where in the house is it going (Livingroom with a lot of natural light, or a media room with few to no windows?)
I just purchased this on friday and so far have been very pleased with it. I got it on sale for 1999.99 CDN. Its not capbable of 1080p but it can do 780p/1080i, the cost in making the jump for the 1080p is quite a bit of extra cash and i have compared it and the difference is so small its (IMO)...
