    I'm planning on pulling a PSU from a computer here at work today. It doesn't have the PCI-E plug for my vidcard but atleast it should get the fans going and start beeping at me for not having a vidcard, right? And if it does, that ought to mean that the PSU is to blame.

    Uhm... that's what I did... I tried running it with the bare essentials: CPU, vidcard, memory. It still doesn't want to start up beyond the first few turns of the fans (fan starts spinning and a split second later it stops).

    Ok, I've just ripped everything out of the case. I connected power, cpu and memory left everything else on the side. It still wont boot up. Added the vidcard just in case, no difference. So I guess my mobo is fried? (the little power led lights up though)
